Re: Dynasties
Lions dont kill buffalos do they?

All living things have two goals. One is to reproduce and diversify the gene pool. The other is homeostasis.

Re: Dynasties
To be fair to Buffalo's I think they just stamp to death anything in it's path... I think they kill more humans than the whole of the wildlife in Africa put together...

Re: Dynasties
Did find it very interesting that Buffalo seek out and try to kill lion cubs to stop them getting big enough to be there predators.

Wouldn't have thought animals would have the foresight or thought process to do something like that

'The most likely explanation is that they were taken by hyenas or another predator or even trampled by buffaloes,' a show insider said :-(

However, the film crew also revealed that since the death of the male and female cub, Charm has given birth to two more. :-)

Re: Dynasties
Just seen online that the 2 baby lion cubs introduced at the end of the last episode are both dead.

Most likely taken by hyenas or another predator! nature is a bastard!

"I'd be fucking terrible as a Wildlife cameraman and would have to wade in on the Hyenas with a few windmills.... that would probably make decent TV I'd imagine??"

yes, seeing you get ripped limb by limb by a pack of Hyena's would be decent TV.

Only joking ;o)

Re: Dynasties
Kronic its definitely worth watching, its absolutely breathtaking some of the camerawork and shows how harsh the conditions are and emphasises how amazing these animals are to survive.

The only thing that really bothered me was the lion getting poisoned by the farmers this week even though they were illegally grazing in the Lions territory

Boots... for a so called intelligent animal those pilot whales don't half do some stupid things... you hardly see Orcas, Humpbacks or Dolphins do this... well Orcas sometimes get caught beaching themselves trying to get at Seals... but in the norm... ?? Anyway... daft sods...

I fancied this until reading the numerous stories of animals suffering. I cant watch it.

I could happily watch trophy hunters tortured to death though.
I'd even participate.

The poor woman that found them trying to get them back in the water and just seeing them die in front of her eyes

I'll be honest I'd much rather have the company of Animals... that Life of Pi looked Ok in the rowing boat... just swap the Tiger for a Blac Lab.... the fucking dirty Hyena for a King Emperor penguin... and I'd happily go on a cruise with that mob... chin chin
